Elizabeth Clements is a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) who has over 7 years of experience. She is passionate about helping individuals reach their highest potential through the process of psychotherapy. Elizabeth specializes in relationship issues, major life transitions, grief, trauma, depression, and anxiety.
Elizabeth completed her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at Framingham State University and received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Boston University. Originally from the west coast, she now lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two teenaged sons. Elizabeth utilizes a "whole person" approach to therapy and treatment modalities include but are not limited to psychodynamic, relational, positive psychology, strength based therapy (SBT), and solution-focused therapy (SFT).

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I decided to become a counselor because I know from personal experience the difference that a good counselor can make in an individual's life.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I enjoy working with clients of all ages but think I work best with adults.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with clients who are dedicated to the pursuit of greater self understanding through self exploration.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that therapy is hard work but that doesn't mean that you can't enjoy the process.

What inspires you?
I am a lover of nature and the great outdoors and am inspired by the natural world that surrounds us.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect our first session to be a chance to get to know one another - I want to hear from clients about their current and past experiences as well as their preferences when it comes to working together.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In a first session, I want to accomplish having a "snapshot" of what brings the client to therapy and what they would like to accomplish in our work together.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
Clients should know that I truly love my job and feel it is an honor and privilege to help people do the oh so important work of becoming the best possible version of themselves.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
For fun, I love spending time watching my two teenaged sons on the soccer field, working in my garden, or just hanging out with my cat or with a good book on the beach.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I don't think I'm defined by just one thing but feel as though I am the culmination of all my life experiences - relocating to the east coast after growing up in a small, rural town in California, being a daughter, being a sister, being a mother, being a wife, being a therapist.
