Danielle Johnson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who is skilled in providing therapy to individuals ages 15-80 years old. Danielle has over 7 years of clinical experience working with young adults and children, as well as 5 years of crisis management experience with individuals of all ages. Working with a wide scope of the population, Danielle understands the importance of advocating for her clients, even when they are unable to do so for themselves. She also recognizes that it is essential to have a team-based approach in order to create and implement the treatment goals of individual clients.
Danielle completed her masters degrees in Neuroscience and Counseling at the University of Massachusetts-Boston, where she found her passion in crisis intervention, specializing in depression, substance use, anxiety, and trauma. After graduation Danielle began her work as a crisis clinician in hospital emergency rooms before transitioning to her role as a therapist. She is currently working toward her trauma certification.
As a therapist Danielle believes it is imperative to create a safe, comforting space in order to discover which therapeutic approach best fits your needs. She believes in a person-centered approach, and creating that safe therapeutic space is most successful when a strong relationship is formed. Danielle embraces and accepts individual differences, which helps her bond with clients in a unique way.
