Christina is amazing. I've been to many therapists but I have never had the progression and break throughs I've had with anyone else. What an absolute saint. I would highly recommend Christina to anyone looking for a kind, compassionate and fair therapist!

Christina is an amazing therapist. I feel very comfortable in opening up to her about my life, my feelings, etc. This is, in my opinion, harder as a male. So her approach to listen....

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
Even since I was younger, I gravitated towards helping, supporting, and just generally being there for others. As I grew older, I grew my passion for psychology and learning how people think and behave. It wasn't until I had my own personal experiences around counseling and mental health that I truly knew this was what I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Recovery is not linear. There will be ups, and expected downs. However, when we start to fall and even when we reach rock bottom, it does not mean we can never get back up and move forward again nor does it mean we've failed.
What inspires you?
Resilience. To see someone go through so many challenges and hardships and persevere despite it all - that inspires me and motivates me to not only be a support for someone through that, but also try to apply that to my own life.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Building rapport. I know first sessions and impressions can be awkward at first so I'd just like to take the time for us to get to know each other and work our way up to trust. We cannot fully delve into the work without a solid foundation.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
While I do try to challenge those I work with, I mainly meet people where they are at. I will never force you to do what you don't feel comfortable with, even if I suggest it for progress. I will never judge your struggles, and we can take things as fast or as slow as you'd like.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
On my time off, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also love exploring new places and trying new foods #foodie! When I can, I love watching scary movies and playing some video games. I recently picked up crocheting too.
