About Cherie
Cherie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. She has walked adults, children, and adolescents through impactful experiences and offered a collaborative space that allows her clients to explore their individual strengths and needs, as well as share thoughts and feelings. She provides support to individuals struggling with anxious thoughts and feelings, low mood, and a lack of enjoyment in life as well as relational, communication, and behavioral challenges. Cherie received her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.
Cherie provides a calming yet engaged presence and focuses on clients' needs and strengths with the goal of increasing insight into their own abilities. Cherie utilizes various methods to support clients in meeting their goals including psychoeducation, CBT, and coping skills, as well as person-centered approaches.
Cherie believes it is imperative for all people to have a space to reflect on their lives and feel supported. She will offer genuine and unconditional positive regard in the therapeutic space to allow for optimal growth. Cherie desires clients to attain personal goals as they build on their self-confidence and experience more peace of mind.

Get to know Cherie
Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I wanted to help others discover their individual strengths and learn to appreciate them while also learning that their past does not define their present and future. However, I hope to help clients learn from their past to support their growth in the present and future.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Clients who are ready to do the therapeutic work. And this can look like taking the first step by reaching out for help, such as making a first appointment.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Individuals who are open to learning and growing even when it is difficult.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Therapy is good for all people, including therapists.
What inspires you?
My husband and daughter who both have a great sense of humor and are eager to learn.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Someone who will listen but also seek to understand the reason for the client to reach out for support at this time in their life.

What brings the client to therapy and one goal they hope to reach while working with me.
