What types of clients do you work with best?
I’ve found that I work best with humans. By that, I mean whatever your identities are, they are welcome and embraced. Individuals are more than any label, diagnosis, etc. We are a culmination of so many lived experiences, and each one will be safe and welcome in this space.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I love to work with individuals who are engaged in their journey, growth, and healing process.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
It’s okay to not be okay. We are interdependent and it is okay to lean on others for support.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose Thriveworks particularly because of the level of support that is offered and the access to resources. I will always continue to grow and learn about new opportunities/resources so that I may share them with all of you.
What inspires you?
In a world that feels like it can crush us at times, it’s the small wins/glimmers of light that keep me going.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
During the first session, there tends to be a variety of questions that need to be covered. However, I try to make this experience as painless and relaxed as possible, creating more of a narrative and road map for our time together.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
My goal during an individual’s intake and every session following is for them to feel comfortable, validated, and seen.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I would consider myself to be actively engaged during sessions. I tend to ask many questions and strike a balance between challenging folks to continue to learn and grow while also taking time to pause and enjoy the moment.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I have a wide variety of hobbies including hiking, creating art, playing video games, spending time with loved ones and fur babies, reading, and so much more.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I am full of energy, random movie/song quotes, sassy humor, metaphors, and a love for all plants, animals, and humans alike.
