About Provider

About Victoria

Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Louisiana with over five years of experience as a clinician—and even more time spent working in the mental health field. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages. Many who struggled with PTSD and trauma, depression, OCD, anxiety, bipolar, and addiction. Many of the settings include psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient, community and private practice settings. I discovered my passion for counseling by witnessing the life-changing impact that feeling heard, supported, and truly understood can have.

Experiences such as the grief of losing a loved one, symptoms of depression that can lead to negative self-perceptions, or persistent worries associated with anxiety or OCD can leave us feeling stuck, replaying thoughts or moments over and over again. I utilize many cognitive behavioral and trauma-informed therapies to help foster awareness and empowerment.

I genuinely enjoy getting to know each client and collaborating with them to work toward their goals for therapy—whether it's to grow, change, or heal. I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating; it can be a place of curiosity and insight. My goal is to support you in building resilience, gaining clarity, and creating lasting change in your life.

Get to know Victoria

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I have always enjoyed learning about how the mind works and how both experiences and genetics shapes who we are. I wanted to help advocate for those who have been misjudged and misdiagnosed. I believe there is no "normal". We are all unique.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I enjoy working with all ages, from children to adults who are faced with challenges of depression, or trauma, or addiction.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

That no matter what you are feeling or have gone through, your strength is evident by seeking guidance.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

During the first session, we will discuss what your goals for therapy and the future are and get to know one another better. You can share as much or as little as you feeling comfortable with. We will also go over any questions you may have about the process.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

Many difficult personal experiences have shaped who I am today, which has led to values of compassion, empathy, and strength that can be utilized to help others.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

Each person is different, so it's important to me to make sure everyone feels like that is a part of their treatment and in setting goals. This is your journey, and I am here to be a support and help along the way, no matter the direction it takes.
