About Tammy
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 24 years of experience in the behavioral health field. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, family conflict, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strength-based, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. My work often includes strengthening communication, developing healthy coping strategies, and increasing insight into patterns that may be contributing to ongoing challenges.
I earned my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Touro University Worldwide. I use an integrated, solution-focused approach that blends practical skill-building with emotional support.
Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and you do not have to do it alone. I meet clients where they are and work collaboratively to set goals, build on strengths, and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for them. If you are ready to begin your journey, I would be honored to support you.

"I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, honoring your strengths, and helping you move toward the life you desire."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose this work because I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued, especially those who might not have had someone in their corner — and being able to advocate for and empower vulnerable individuals is one of the greatest honors of my career.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I connect well with teens, young adults, and families who may be struggling with communication, behavior challenges, or emotional overwhelm and are seeking guidance, structure, and understanding.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is rarely linear — progress often comes in small, sometimes unseen steps, and seeking support is not a sign of weakness but a courageous choice toward growth, understanding, and lasting change.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you — your story, your concerns, and what you hope to achieve in therapy. Early on, we work together to build trust and a safe, supportive space, identify your goals, and start exploring practical strategies and coping skills. You can expect a collaborative, non-judgmental environment where your experiences are heard, your strengths are recognized, and small, meaningful steps toward change begin to take shape.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each client by first listening closely to their experiences, strengths, and goals. I integrate evidence-based techniques with a flexible, individualized approach, adjusting strategies to fit each person’s personality, needs, and pace. By collaborating with clients, I ensure that therapy is relevant, meaningful, and practical — helping them build skills, insight, and resilience in ways that work for their unique life circumstances.
