About Dee
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 12 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and communities through compassionate, culturally responsive care. I specialize in helping clients navigate life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress, parenting challenges, identity development, and healing from past emotional wounds. I create a warm, emotionally safe space where clients can reconnect with themselves, restore their energy, and imagine what’s possible.
I hold a master’s in social work from Louisiana State University. My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence-based methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and strength-based, mindfulness-informed care. I provide insight-building psychoeducation and tools clients can use beyond the therapy room.
Whether you are facing a tough season, supporting your child, or simply needing a space to feel heard, I am here to help. I offer a grounded, compassionate approach that meets you where you are and supports meaningful progress at your pace. When you are ready, I welcome you to take the next step and schedule a session with me.

"As a 45-year-old African American woman navigating menopause, motherhood, and marriage, I bring lived wisdom, clinical insight, and a deep calling to walk alongside other women 35 and up as they reclaim their voice, vitality, and vision."
Get to know Dee
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish every client knew is that it’s okay to not be okay healing is a process, not a quick fix. Progress takes time, and while it may not happen overnight, showing up with consistency and intention can make all the difference. Your effort matters, and every step forward counts.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where we begin building trust and exploring what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your concerns, strengths, and goals, while also explaining how the therapy process works and answering any questions you may have. Early sessions are focused on getting to know each other, identifying priorities, and setting a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by meeting each client where they are emotionally, developmentally, and culturally. I take time to understand their goals, strengths, and challenges, then adapt my approach using methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, psychoeducation, and person-centered care. I stay flexible, collaborative, and focused on what feels most helpful and meaningful to each individual, so they feel supported and empowered throughout the process.
