Get to know Nicole
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I want to be the person that I needed when I was a kid.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
While I work with all people, I am especially looking forward to working with the LGBTQ+ community and youth.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish that all clients, and all people, know that they are far more capable than they believe (not in a cheesy way, but really!!)
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
With Thriveworks taking care of administrative tasks, I can focus more on my favorite part of being a therapist, my clients!
What inspires you?
Knowing that the sun will rise no matter what kind of day/week/year I've had.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect the first session to be laid back and focused on getting to know you. Clients get to decide what they'd like to share upon first meeting. Come as you are, I do not have a specific agenda or expectations for you.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, I'd like to get to know a client's strengths, interests, and goals.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
In the first session, I'd like to get to know a client's strengths, interests, and goals.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Depending on the time of year I play softball, dodgeball, kickball, and pickleball with an LGBTQ+ sports league. When I'm not out playing I love to go to local bookstores with my wife. We have 5 dogs so our world revolves around them.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
My care for others, I can't turn it off.
