she/herLicensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Self pay costs
Out-of-pocket session costs for clients who don’t have insurance or aren’t covered by their insurance for mental health services.
With 15 years of working as an LCSW, Therapist, I can assure you this is still my passion. For those of you struggling with adopting a child or being an adopted person, I have a unique perspective as I was adopted and then adopted a child. I’ve worked with clients on probation, in the department of child services system, those who struggle with addiction, personality and mood disorders such as Bipolar, PTSD related to abandonment, ADHD, depression, and anxiety. I will meet you where you are at in your journey, ask tough questions, and give you challenges and/or homework if desired. I provide person-centered care.
I will use Psychoeducation to provide information on mental illness and coping skills. I utilize a CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Strengths-based, person-centered, Narrative or bibliotherapy and talk therapy approaches.
Making the step to seek mental health help is such a strength. Being able to recognize when something feels off is good self-awareness. You are a brave human. Therapy is a form of self-care and self-care isn’t selfish.

"As someone who has experienced trauma, I understand the importance of asking for help and learning healthy coping skills."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have experienced multiple traumas and did not get the intervention I needed as a child. I vowed to help the vulnerable navigate their struggles.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Clients who are open minded and willing to make the decision to try Therapy even if they are in their 50's. It's never too late to address your mental health needs.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
This journey looks different for everyone. One Therapist might assign homework for their clients while others don't. Some Therapists share about themselves while others do not. I also want clients to know you won't be judged or shamed. healing is not linear, it's unique to each person.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
We will do a lot of rapport building and establishing trust. You might be assigned homework or be asked to participate in role play. I will probably ask some tough questions, especially during the intake process. It is important to have all the pieces so you can help solve the puzzle. If there are missing pieces, it will be more difficult to solve. If you have an issue or concern with me, I invite you to address and discuss with me. Working through issues can benefit you by helping you better navigate other life challenges.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
As someone who's experienced multiple childhood traumas, I can assure you, I will always be honest with you and will be direct and assertive with my communication. I am empathetic and will validate and or normalize your feelings.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
During the intake, I gather lots of information that helps me create the treatment plan goals. I usually explain I have an eclectic approach and we will try some new things and if it works for the client then great. if it doesn't then we will try something else. I will also continue to seek feedback from you so things can be modified as you progress.
