Self pay costs
Out-of-pocket session costs for clients who don’t have insurance or aren’t covered by their insurance for mental health services.
I’m Kinya, a licensed therapist with nearly 20 years of experience helping people reclaim their lives from the weight of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and self-neglect. I specialize in guiding clients through anxiety, burnout, and the courage it takes to finally choose themselves. My approach creates a safe space where you can exhale, process, and heal. I work with individuals who’ve spent years taking care of everyone else and are ready to rebuild their identity, set boundaries, and create lives that feel good — not just look good. If you’re tired of surviving and ready to start thriving, I’m here to walk with you.
I blend cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and practical tools to help you identify what’s keeping you stuck. My approach is warm but direct — we’ll build boundaries, shift your mindset, and create habits that stick. Whether you’re healing from burnout, anxiety, or choosing yourself first, expect a space that’s safe, real, and focused on YOUR growth.
You don’t have to keep carrying all of this alone. If you’re ready to finally put yourself first, to heal without guilt, and to create a life that feels like YOU again — I’m here for that journey with you. Let’s talk. Schedule your appointment and let’s get started on your path to healing, clarity, and the peace you deserve.

"As one who has experienced carrying the weight of everyone else's expectations while losing yourself in the process, I'm here to help you find your way back to YOU — without guilt, without apology."
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with people who are ready to stop putting themselves last. If you're tired of carrying everyone else's burdens while ignoring your own needs, if you're navigating anxiety or burnout, or if you're finally ready to set boundaries without guilt — we're a great fit. I especially connect with women (and men) who've been the "strong one" for so long that they've forgotten how to take care of themselves. If you're ready to do the work, I'm ready to walk with you.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing isn't linear, and you don't have to have it all figured out before you start. You just have to be willing to show up honestly — even if that means showing up messy.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know YOU — your story, what brought you here, and what you're hoping to change. Early on, we're building trust and clarity around what's keeping you stuck so we can start creating a plan that actually works for your life. I love to connect the dots of your origin story to how you show up currently. It's important for you to understand that connection.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I've lived what so many of my clients are going through — the pressure to be perfect, the exhaustion of always saying yes, the guilt that comes with finally choosing yourself. I know what it's like to lose yourself while trying to be everything for everyone else. My faith has been my anchor through my own healing journey, and it taught me that rest isn't weakness and boundaries aren't selfish. Those experiences shape how I show up for my clients — with compassion, without judgment, and with the understanding that healing requires both grace and accountability. I believe every person deserves to feel whole, valued, and free to be themselves without apology.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I meet you where you are. Some clients need structure and tools right away. Others need space to process and feel heard first. I adjust my approach based on what YOU need — whether that's practical strategies, deeper emotional work, or a mix of both. when I see the need for it, I assign "lifework" as opposed to homework.
