Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I enjoy helping individuals that want to be able to understand why he/she does the things they do to themselves and others.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Those between the ages of 19 and older.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
That is difficult to say because all clients are a challenge and when you break through the wall they have built to protect themselves it makes the therapist feel as though he/she has fulfilled the client's goal to live.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
How to realize when their behavior needs to be noticed that something may be going on, that may require professional assistance.
What inspires you?
When an individual understands him/herself and begins to progress.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
A therapist that not only listens but hears what they are saying.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Who they truly are without pretending to be someone others want him/her to be. The true face, and feelings.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I bowl, bake or whatever I feel like doing for relaxation.
What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
To be myself regardless of the circumstances.
