About Lauren
Hello! My name is Lauren, and I hold a bachelor's and master's degrees in social work. I am clinically licensed and have worked in the field since 2009. I have worked with adults and adolescents in telehealth, inpatient, and field-based settings. Many of the individuals I have worked with have experienced challenges around relationship dynamics, sudden loss, marital and financial stressors, infidelity, negative peer relationships, body image, and balancing career and household demands. The individuals I have worked with are no different than most of us, who on some level are seeking balance, peace, and reassurance.
In our work together, I seek to explore root causes of your most pressing issues. Through mindfulness, person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused approaches, we will work toward clarity and self-acceptance. You can expect a compassionate, judgment-free space for authentic self-expression, reflective listening, and renewed perspectives.
I commend you for reaching out! Showing vulnerability and transparency can be tough, but I'd like to share that space with you. I can best support individuals who are motivated toward change and are insightful. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions. If this sounds like you, reach out, and we can start the journey!

"In navigating the challenges of everyday life, I recognize the importance of prioritizing self care and exploring the areas of our lives that need healing."

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients knew how rewarding the experience of engaging in therapy can be in guiding them through the healing process and the strength in prioritizing their own mental and emotional needs first.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our initial meeting, we will take time to discuss your primary concerns in the intake process. You will share about any previous history in therapy, treatment, medications or presenting conditions. You will also provide your demographic information, and what you would like to gain out of our time working together.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
As the firstborn to a divorced single mom, I saw firsthand the long-term effects of "being the strong one", for everyone. The stress of everyday life definitely left a strain on her emotional, psychological and physical health. My mom is now a retired nurse and three time cancer survivor, who now makes self-care her number one priority. Now that I am an adult, juggling life's many responsibilities, I have seen the value in prioritizing my self-care and addressing the areas of my life that need healing.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
In the rapport building process, I will determine my approach based on the information you share and your area/s of focus. Also, a process that will best fit your values and personality, leaving space to make adjustments, as needed.
