About Kyeisha
I am an associate professional counselor with 7 years of experience providing culturally responsive, compassionate care. I have worked with diverse individuals across many settings, where I have supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity exploration. I use a flexible, client-centered approach that integrates evidence-based practices while honoring each person’s lived experience and cultural context. Together, we work to build insight, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful, sustainable change that aligns with their values and goals.
I earned my Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and flexible, integrating evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-focused interventions, and mindfulness to help you better understand patterns and build practical coping tools.
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I want you to know that you don’t have to navigate this season of your life alone. Whatever you’re carrying, there is space for it here. Healing and growth are possible, and taking the first step is a powerful act of self-care. When you feel ready, I invite you to schedule an appointment.

"As a woman of color, I bring cultural awareness and lived understanding into the therapy space, utilizing a flexible, client-centered approach that honors your unique story, strengths, and goals."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I was a child that flew under the mental health radar, due to being a quiet child and good student. As a woman of color, I recognized how important it is to have culturally responsive spaces where individuals feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I was inspired to create that kind of space where people can show up authentically without fear of judgment.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I connect especially well with clients who want both a supportive space to process their emotions and practical tools to create change. If you’re motivated to grow, open to self-exploration, and looking for a collaborative, flexible approach, we will likely work very well together.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
The road to healing and change is a marathon not a sprint to reach the finish line.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, they can expect a welcoming, supportive space where we begin getting to know one another. I’ll invite them to share what brings them to therapy, what they’ve been experiencing, and what they hope to gain from our work together. We’ll also review important background information and discuss any questions or concerns they may have about the process. There is no pressure to share everything at once — we move at a pace that feels comfortable and safe for them.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is deeply informed by my lived experience as a woman of color and by my core values of empathy and authenticity. Navigating spaces where I had to learn resilience, self-advocacy, and balance has shaped how I show up for my clients — with openness, respect, and a genuine commitment to understanding their unique stories.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by first taking the time to deeply understand your story including background, cultural identity, values, strengths, and the specific challenges you’re facing. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I collaborate with you to identify clear goals and regularly check in to make sure our work feels relevant and supportive.
