About Provider

About Gabrielle

I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) with 4 years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of life challenges. I work with adolescents, teenagers, adults, and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, trauma, life transitions, self-harm behaviors, and dual diagnoses. I strive to help clients better understand where they are in their current chapter of life while building skills to move forward with clarity and confidence. I also integrate my perspective as both a clinician and someone who understands the vulnerability of being a client, creating a supportive, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment.

I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Antioch University. My approach is client-centered and evidence-based, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused interventions, and person-centered therapy. You do not need to have everything figured out to begin therapy. What matters most is your willingness to show up as you are. I will meet you with calm, steady support and walk alongside you as you explore your thoughts and emotions. When you are ready, I invite you to schedule a session so we can begin this work together with care and intention.

"Having navigated my own struggles with mental health and trauma, I’ve come to understand healing not as a destination, but as a personal and nonlinear journey that can inspire us to be closer to the self we chose to be."

Get to know Gabrielle

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became interested in becoming a counselor while completing my undergraduate degree and seeing my own therapist on campus. I was facing struggles with anxiety, depression, SI, and trauma, which led me to healing. I strive to want the same for others, especially with healing.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with ages 10 and above, all genders, and cultures. I tend to focus on structured, goal-oriented sessions, seeking personal growth, self-acceptance and meaning, exploring childhood, unconscious patterns, and having a trauma-focused lens.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

One thing I wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, and the healing process is that it's not linear, and that is okay. Every person has their own idea of healing process and for some that can take a couple of months in therapy and others can take up to years or more. Therapy is not about becoming perfect but becoming more like yourself.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Clients can expect their first session and early stages of therapy with me to focus on building rapport and therapeutic relationship, establishing emotional safety and trust, creating boundaries, open-ended questions to learn more about their life and history, identifying strengths and values, exploring patterns, engaging in educational therapy tools, and identifying personal and clinical goals.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My personal experiences and values that I feel have shaped the way I practice are being empathic and non-judgmental, having authenticity, curiosity and growth, ensuring resiliency and instilling hope, my lived experiences with mental health and adversity, family dynamics, and history of burnout and self-care.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tend to tailor therapy for my client's unique needs by meeting them where they are at by establishing a co-creating space, understanding them as a whole person and not focusing solely on symptoms, as well as matching methods to them such as session style, different evidenced based approaches, and pacing. I also like to tailor my sessions to focus on checking in regularly, adjusting goals as needed, and responding to feedback from clients.
