About David
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 5 years of experience providing clinical care to children, adolescents, and adults. I work with individuals facing stress, anxiety, trauma histories, emotional regulation challenges, and strained family relationships. Many clients seek support during major life transitions or want help understanding patterns that keep them feeling stuck. My approach is practical, goal-oriented, and focused on steady progress.
I earned my master’s degree in mental health counseling from Thomas University. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and a direct, structured approach. I help clients build emotional control, reduce avoidance, and shift unhelpful thinking patterns, with experience supporting trauma-related stress, anxiety, and family conflict.
You deserve support that feels steady, respectful, and focused on what matters most to you. I provide an environment where experiences are taken seriously, goals are clearly defined, and progress continues between sessions. If you are ready to work toward meaningful change at a pace that fits your needs, I welcome you to reach out and begin the work together.

"I support people who feel overwhelmed by stress, conflict, or self-doubt, and I bring a steady, practical approach shaped by years of clinical work and my commitment to understanding how people grow and change."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose this work because I value steady support and wanted to offer the kind of guidance people often struggle to find during stressful moments. I saw the difference a calm, focused helper makes, and I wanted to provide that for others.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who want structure, clear goals, and practical tools. I also work well with those who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck and need a steady guide who stays patient and direct. Clients who value honest feedback and are willing to try new strategies tend to make strong progress with me.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Progress often feels uneven, and that pattern is normal. Small changes add up over time. You do not need to feel ready or confident to begin. You only need to show up and stay open to the process.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients meet with me to review their goals, current stressors, and what they want from therapy. I ask focused questions to understand their history and the patterns getting in the way. Early sessions set clear goals and outline a plan so progress feels organized and transparent. Clients leave with a sense of direction and a realistic next step.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My work is shaped by the value of steady support and clear communication, along with years of experience helping people move through stress, trauma, and major life changes. I focus on respect, patience, and practical steps because these principles have guided my own growth and continue to guide how I show up for clients.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I start by learning each client’s goals, history, and current stressors, then I adjust the pace, structure, and techniques to match how they think, learn, and communicate. I track progress closely and shift strategies when needed so the work stays focused and helpful.
