Get to know Danielle

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I decided to become a counselor after experiencing my own life's challenges and recognizing the need to have someone help me navigate those difficult times. I resolved to help individuals who are also facing difficulties in life to ensure that they have the support they need.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work best with children, adults, and couples.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I love to work with individuals who are ready to make a change and recognize that it is okay to have support while doing so.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

There is always a way out of every situation with guidance and support.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

I wanted to work for a company that would provide me with the opportunity to serve multiple client populations.

What inspires you?

What inspires me is seeing individuals transform from broken to healed.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

Clients can expect a judgment-free, empathetic environment when meeting with me for the first time.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

In my first session with an individual, I want to establish a good rapport and determine what the goals of therapy are for the person. I want to develop an atmosphere where the individual can feel safe to speak about the challenges they are facing.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

Clients should know that I will give them the opportunity to be open and transparent in the session.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I spend time with my family.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

I am resilient.
