About Courtney
Hi, I'm Courtney, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia dedicated to helping adults navigate life's challenges with clarity, confidence, and purpose. I primarily work with adults (18+) experiencing anxiety, depression, and adjustment-related challenges, including major life transitions, daily stress, and difficulty regaining balance. Many of the people I work with are seeking practical tools, self-awareness, and confidence to move forward. I take a direct, collaborative approach to therapy, helping clients recognize the strengths they already possess while developing strategies that support meaningful, lasting change.
I believe therapy works best when it's supportive and honest. My approach is direct, compassionate, and collaborative. Rather than focusing on what's "wrong," I help clients identify patterns keeping them stuck, build on their strengths, and develop practical strategies for everyday life. My goal is to help you leave therapy feeling confident and resilient.
I became a therapist because I realized how much earlier access to support could have changed the lives of my loved ones. That experience inspires my belief that no one should have to face life's challenges alone. Whatever brought you here, you deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a therapist after realizing how much earlier access to mental health support could have changed the lives of my loved ones. Watching people I care about struggle without the guidance or resources they needed showed me the lasting impact that compassionate, skilled support can have. That experience inspired me to pursue a career where I could help others feel understood, gain insight, and recognize the strengths they already possess. Today, I find it incredibly rewarding to partner with adults as they navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, and other challenges, empowering them to build confidence and create meaningful, lasting change.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults who are ready to better understand themselves and take an active role in creating meaningful change. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or struggling to adjust to major life transitions. They may feel stuck, uncertain, or disconnected from the life they want to live, but they're looking for practical tools, honest feedback, and a supportive partner to help them move forward. Clients who connect well with my approach appreciate a therapist who is compassionate while also being direct. I believe in empowering people to recognize the strengths they already have and helping them develop the confidence to navigate challenges both inside and outside of therapy. If you're ready to gain insight, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward your goals, we'll likely work well together.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that seeking therapy isn't a sign of weakness—it's a sign that you're ready to invest in yourself. You don't have to have all the answers or know exactly where to start before coming to therapy. Healing isn't about becoming someone different; it's about gaining a better understanding of yourself, recognizing the strengths you already have, and learning how to use them more effectively. Progress isn't always linear, but every step forward matters, and you don't have to take those steps alone.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and understanding what has brought you to therapy. We'll talk about your concerns, explore your goals, and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I'm the right fit for you. In the early stages of therapy, we'll work collaboratively to identify patterns, build on your existing strengths, and develop practical strategies that support your goals. My approach is direct, supportive, and tailored to your unique needs. While I may challenge you at times, it's always done with compassion and the intention of helping you gain insight, build confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, empowered, and equipped with tools you can apply in your everyday life.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves access to compassionate, effective mental health care and that meaningful change is possible for anyone willing to do the work. Seeing loved ones struggle without the support they needed showed me the importance of having a safe, nonjudgmental space to process life's challenges. That experience continues to shape the way I show up for my clients—with empathy, honesty, and the belief that they already possess many of the strengths needed to overcome obstacles and create lasting change. I also value authenticity, collaboration, and accountability in the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves while also feeling encouraged to challenge unhelpful patterns, build resilience, and make intentional choices that align with the life they want to live.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I believe that no two people experience life's challenges in the same way, so therapy shouldn't be one-size-fits-all. I take the time to understand each client's unique experiences, strengths, values, and goals so we can create a treatment approach that fits their individual needs. While my approach is consistently direct, supportive, and collaborative, I recognize that every client progresses at their own pace and may need different tools or strategies along the way. As therapy evolves, I continually check in to make sure we're focusing on what matters most to you and adjusting our work as your needs and goals change. My goal is to provide practical, personalized support that helps you build on your strengths, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful, lasting change.
