About Cecilia
I’m Cecilia, and I work with individuals navigating stress, anxiety, cultural and family pressures, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, yet want deeper self-understanding, emotional balance, and healthier ways of coping. I aim to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, feel genuinely heard, and build resilience while staying connected to your values and identity.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and culturally aware. I integrate person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and CBT tools to help you understand patterns, regulate emotions, and develop practical coping skills. Together, we move at your pace while building insight, confidence, and meaningful change.
Seeking support can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. You don’t have to navigate it alone. I strive to offer a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you when you feel ready to begin.

"Having lived through immigration and personal transitions, I bring empathy and understanding for how complex life changes can impact our sense of self and belonging."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a counselor because I’ve seen how deeply life experiences, culture, and relationships can shape a person’s emotional world. I’ve always been drawn to listening and supporting others, and I wanted to create a space where people feel safe to share their stories, feel understood, and grow. Walking alongside others in their healing journey is something I consider both meaningful and humbling.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or are navigating life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, or cultural and identity concerns. Many of my clients want to better understand themselves, manage their emotions, and find healthier ways to cope while staying true to their values and who they are.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing isn’t a straight line, and that’s okay. Growth often happens in small, meaningful steps rather than big breakthroughs. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about understanding yourself, learning new skills, and building compassion for your own experiences.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a calm, supportive conversation where we get to know each other and talk about what brings you in. I’ll ask some questions to understand your experiences, goals, and what support might look like for you. Early sessions focus on building trust, clarifying what you want from therapy, and moving at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful of your readiness.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My background and life experiences, including navigating cultural transitions and understanding the importance of identity and belonging, shape how I show up as a therapist. I value empathy, humility, and respect for each person’s story. I believe healing happens best in spaces where people feel safe, accepted, and not judged.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by listening carefully to each client’s story, goals, cultural background, and preferences. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I integrate different tools such as mindfulness, CBT skills, and reflective conversations based on what feels most helpful and meaningful for you. We work collaboratively so that therapy fits you, not the other way around.
