About Brianna
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) in the state of Georgia, with nine years of experience working in a variety of mental health settings. I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, and adults address trauma and navigate life’s challenges. My clinical work focuses on supporting individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, trauma, family-related difficulties, and major life transitions.
My approach blends trauma-informed care with practical skillbuilding to help children, adolescents, and adults navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, and life challenges. Clients can expect a supportive, culturally aware space focused on healing, resilience, and the development of tools for lasting personal growth.
We all go through challenges in our lives, but how we respond and react to situations is what makes us different from others. I am confident I can assist you with overcoming mental and emotional barriers in every aspect of your life journey. Remember: Your identity is tied to whatever you give your heart to.

"Remember, it's not who you are that holds you back; it's who you think you're now”- Denis Waitley. As a Black woman and the oldest daughter and sister in my family, I understand the responsibility, resilience, and emotional complexity that can come with growing up in families that don’t always follow a traditional path."

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
Becoming a counselor wasn't a simple choice I made in college, it was more of a calling; an authentic journey. When I graduated college I knew I wanted to work in mental health and neuropsychology but I really didn't know what that meant. I partnered on research projects, worked in mental health facilities and community-based programs and I just happened to know what I wanted to do. What motivated me to get up and start my day? I just followed the path that enhanced my happiness. Becoming a counselor felt like a job that fit my personality and soul, so I believe my career chose me.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I have worked with everyone under the sun and I love it! I have mostly worked with pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults. Working with pre-teens to young adults ages 11-21 is where I believe I thrive the most since I am able to relate to them along with helping them draw meaning from situations. I believe in the children of tomorrow and when we pour into them they will make the world a better place.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Give yourself grace! What does that mean? It means to be patient with yourself and love yourself for where you are currently. We ALL struggle at times, it doesn't make you less than anyone else in the room.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
You will expect me to be myself, and I want you to be yourself as well. I have been told I am a "funny" therapist who helps children understand situations a little bit differently than most adults. I like to know more about you first, like the type of music you want to listen to during the session, or if you want to scream for 2 minutes before we start the session. You can expect me to ask you "what are your wildest desires and dreams"?
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Being a Black woman and the oldest daughter in my family taught me early on about strength, responsibility, and navigating complex family relationships. These experiences shaped my values of empathy, authenticity, and cultural awareness, which guide how I show up for clients in the therapy space.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Because our identities, families, and life experiences shape how we see the world, I tailor therapy by taking time to understand each client’s story, cultural background, and personal goals. From there, I use a flexible, trauma-informed approach that honors who they are while helping them build the tools they need to move forward.
