About Beverly
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 16 years of experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families. I support clients navigating depression, anxiety, mood concerns, substance use, relationship challenges, and family dynamics. My work spans community mental health, residential treatment, and private practice, allowing me to serve individuals from diverse backgrounds with compassion and respect.
I earned my master’s degree in professional counseling from Argosy University. My approach is holistic and strengths-based, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. I believe clients possess the capacity for growth and healing, and I work collaboratively to support meaningful, lasting change.
Beginning therapy takes courage, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Together, we will identify your goals and develop a personalized treatment plan to help you regain balance, build resilience, and move forward with confidence. I would be honored to support you on your journey.

"As a woman of color who has faced challenges, I understand how hardship affects us and how learning new skills can restore our empowerment."

I enjoy working with clients who are open to discovery and exploration of strengths and solutions and are actively engaged in affecting change in their own lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
That therapy is not a cure all, the therapist does not have all the answers they are seeking and that it involves their active participation for best results.

Assessment of concerns, establishing goals and interventions, building rapport.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I believe that everyone should have be treated with respect and dignity, the client is the expert in their own life and has invited me to accompany them on their journey as a guide and coach.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I ask questions to identify clients' specific interests such as music, media genre, spiritual beliefs, likes/dislikes, hobbies, journaling, reading and design interventions based on this information as appropriate and that the client is willing to do.
