Why did you decide to become a counselor?
After years of working in broadcast advertising I began to realize that life was about so much more than worrying about deadlines, that having a richer, fuller life was so important. So I went back to school and have never looked back! I love what I do.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I think I work well with all types of clients because I am able to meet them where they are, ask the right questions and develop a relationship.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I love to work with clients who are open, honest and willing to take some steps, even small ones, to get where they want to go.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew what a brave this it is to undertake therapy. I am always so honored to be part of that journey.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to work at Thriveworks because I have all the fun of a private practice without having all the headaches of administrative work! And it truly is a wonderful, supportive company.
What inspires you?
Bravery.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect to feel comfortable. I am very easy to talk to.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I try to start to establish a relationship while getting to know more about them.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I like to read, go for walks, play with my cats and cook.
What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I don't think there is just one thing, but I'd have to say that I have a strong spiritual connection and always look for a broader meaning.
