Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I decided to become a counselor because I have always been the go-to person when others needed a different perspective on relationship issues and I believe this is something that I was created for.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients that are willing to do the work to save their relationship/ marriage. I also appreciate couples who are open to the process.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish they knew that this is their journey. What you put into therapy is what you will get out of it.
What inspires you?
If I had to choose one thing that inspires me I would say it is the thought that relationships are everywhere. Some people do not know how to be in healthy relationships. They could use someone who knows and understands the ins and outs of creating healthy, happy relationships.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
They can expect to meet someone truly interested in learning about their relationship and the backstory of how your relationship developed. I adore a great love story and I believe everyone has that they just need help to remember what brought them together.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I wish to accomplish the beginning of a great therapeutic relationship.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
You are in good hands! I will always abide by what you want to accomplish in future sessions.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love working out and I do that every day. I also enjoy spending time with my family both at home and on Zoom. I meet with my extended family via Zoom every Saturday. I also enjoy movies. I'm kind of a movie buff.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I'm inquisitive! There aren't a lot of things that I don't want to understand and investigate.
