About Amanda
Hi, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master's degree from Mercer University. I help adults and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns build resilience and emotional well-being. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, offering a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Whether you're seeking healthier coping strategies, strengthening relationships, or greater confidence, I'm committed to helping you develop the tools and insight needed to achieve your goals and live a more fulfilling life.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's needs and goals. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and solution-focused interventions to help clients understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing coping skills for daily life.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I'm committed to providing a supportive, compassionate space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. No matter where you are in your journey, we'll work together toward healing, resilience, and the life you envision.

"I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported, and I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your challenges, build on your strengths, and move toward the life you want."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I've always been drawn to helping others, and becoming a counselor felt like a natural way to turn that passion into a career. Knowing that I can support someone through difficult moments, celebrate their progress, and help them build a healthier, more fulfilling life is what inspires me every day.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Seniors, men, and women.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
That it takes time to heal. Therapy is not a magic pill and sometimes things will feel heavy before it feels light.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
My main priority for the first session is getting to know you and any concerns you are currently having. I will ask reflective questions and create a trusting and relaxed environment.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in the belief that every person deserves to be treated with compassion, respect, and dignity. I value authenticity, empathy, and the power of genuine human connection, and I believe that healing begins when people feel safe enough to be seen and heard without judgment.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I recognize that everyone's experiences are unique, so I strive to provide culturally responsive, individualized care that honors each person's strengths, values, and goals.
