About Sayra
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 17 years of experience supporting clients through major life transitions. I primarily work with women navigating relationship challenges, divorce, postpartum stress, low confidence, and periods of uncertainty. My clients come to therapy seeking clarity, stability, and meaningful change, and I help them build the insight and confidence needed to move forward with purpose.
I earned my master’s in social work from Barry University. I use a solution-focused, strength-based approach that helps clients clarify what is working, identify goals, and take practical steps toward lasting progress. My work encourages alignment, self-growth, and a deeper sense of control over the path ahead.
If you are ready to look within and take the first step, we can work together to help you create the life you want. Therapy moves at your pace—we may laugh, cry, reflect, and grow along the way. You do not have to do this alone. Reach out when you are ready, and let’s begin your transformation together.

"As a single mother who has faced the challenges of postpartum depression and anxiety, I know firsthand how overwhelming life’s transitions can feel."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I’ve experienced my own major life struggles, times when I felt alone and didn’t have the tools or support I needed. I learned how crucial it is to have someone beside you during those dark moments. Reaching out for help isn’t a weakness; it’s one of the strongest and most transformative steps a person can take. Being able to offer that support to others is an honor. I learn from my clients every day, creating a mutual exchange of growth that continually strengthens my purpose in this work.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with primarily female clients who are navigating major life challenges and transitions. Many of my clients are seeking to rediscover their sense of purpose, build confidence, and create meaningful change in their lives. I support them in finding clarity, accessing their strengths, and moving forward with intention and resilience.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that therapy is one of the most powerful opportunities for self-growth, strength-building, and transformation. It requires openness, accountability, and readiness to engage, but when you commit to the process, the changes you experience can be profound and life changing.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In your first session, you can expect a nonjudgmental and honest space where we’ll talk openly, kind of like chatting with a girlfriend at Starbucks. Early on, we’ll focus on getting to know each other, understanding your challenges, and figuring out your goals.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is deeply informed by my personal values of accountability, honesty, and living in true alignment with your purpose. I believe that embracing these principles in everyday life fosters growth and resilience, and I bring that perspective into therapy to help clients live authentically, take ownership of their journey.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs by focusing on practical, achievable goals that build on your existing resources and personal strengths. Together, we identify what’s already working in your life and use those talents to create realistic steps toward the changes you want. This approach ensures therapy is personalized, actionable, and grounded in your own capabilities.
