About Paige
I’m Paige Whitley, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over five years of experience helping people navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, and the general chaos of being human. I believe therapy should feel supportive, practical, and real—not intimidating or overly clinical. I work collaboratively with clients to better understand their thoughts and emotions, build effective coping skills, and create meaningful change that actually fits their lives.
My style is warm, approachable, and direct, balancing empathy with honest feedback and clear boundaries. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with an increasing integration of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based strategies. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, more in control, and more confident navigating whatever life is throwing at them.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step—I’m here to make that step feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more doable.

"I am passionate about helping people become more mindful and intentional with their mental health."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I’ve been through the healing process and I know how HARD it is to unlearn all of the intrusive thoughts and unhelpful behaviors that we can learn as a result of our trauma. I want to help clients work through their own healing journeys and come out stronger on the other side.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients that are motivated and willing to do the hard work.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with clients that are excited about the potential for change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
The therapeutic process is not linear and it's okay if it takes a while for things to feel better.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
Thriveworks makes it easy for clients to access care and treats their clients and counselors with the respect and dignity that they deserve.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by seeing clients become excited about the things that are making their life better.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In the first session, I like to go through a thorough review of the life events that have led the client to come to therapy in the first place.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, the client and I will work collaboratively to gather information and develop initial goals about what the client wants to change.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I am an extremely motivated counselor that is ready to work with extremely motivated clients.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I am a major Disney fan and a Walt Disney World annual passholder; I like to be in the parks whenever I can make time to go. I also love spending time with my husband and our fur babies, Bailey, Dude, and Jax.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I make an active effort every day to be kind to others because a little bit of kindness can go an awfully long way.
