My name is Nakera Notice, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern in Florida. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, a CACREP-accredited program. I have experience providing counseling to adults, particularly women, and couples in both graduate and private-practice settings. My clinical experience includes supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, communication difficulties, self-worth concerns, grief, life transitions, and faith-related concerns when requested by the client.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical, drawing from CBT, Solution-Focused, Acceptance-Based, and Strengths-Based methods. I help clients build insight, manage emotions, and develop tools for healthier communication, boundaries, self-worth, and coping. Clients can expect a supportive, goal-oriented space to make meaningful progress.
You do not have to navigate this season alone. Whether you are facing anxiety, relationship challenges, low self-worth, or a major life transition, I offer a supportive space to feel heard and understood. When you are ready, I invite you to take the next step and schedule an appointment.

"As a mother and professional, I understand how easy it can be to prioritize everyone else while losing touch with your own needs. I strive to create a compassionate, judgment-free space where clients feel seen, heard, and safe to be honest."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I have seen how transformative it can be when people gain a deeper understanding of themselves. Greater selfawareness can help us recognize patterns, understand emotional barriers, communicate more effectively, and build healthier relationships. I’m passionate about helping clients feel more connected to themselves and empowered to thrive in the roles and relationships that matter most to them. I strive to create a compassionate space where clients feel understood, gain insight, and move forward with intention.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults, particularly women and couples who are open to self-reflection and want to make meaningful changes in their emotional wellbeing and relationships. I especially enjoy supporting clients navigating anxiety, communication challenges, relationship distress, self-worth concerns, grief, life transitions, and major personal or relational decisions.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Therapy is a collaborative process, not a quick fix. Clients do not have to have everything figured out before beginning. Progress often develops through small, consistent steps, honest selfreflection, and practicing new ways of understanding and responding to life’s challenges. My role is to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive space while helping clients identify their own goals and develop practical tools for meaningful change.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space to share what brought them to counseling, discuss their concerns and goals, and begin identifying patterns that may be affecting their emotional well-being or relationships. I will also explain the counseling process, confidentiality, and what clients can expect from our work together. In the early stages of therapy, we will work collaboratively to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies at a pace that feels supportive and manageable.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in the belief that greater selfawareness creates the foundation for meaningful change. As we develop insight into our thoughts, emotions, patterns, and needs, we are better able to understand ourselves and relate to others in healthier ways. I value compassion, curiosity, client autonomy, cultural humility, and the belief that emotional wellness can strengthen our relationships with ourselves and the people we care about. I strive to create a space where clients feel respected, understood, and supported as they work toward becoming healthier and more intentional in their lives.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by first understanding each client’s goals, values, culture, lived experiences, strengths, and current concerns. I use a collaborative, clientcentered approach and adjust the pace, communication style, and interventions to meet each client’s needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance Theory and StrengthsBased approaches to help clients gain insight, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful change.
