Get to know Michael

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

To help those who are unable to help themselves and to help people discover the pathway to recovery and finding their best versions of themselves and the answers the may be looking for. As well, I have a passion for mending and restoring relationships.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work best with patients that genuinely wish to work on themselves and improve on their issues. I have no issues or qualms working with any race, gender, sexual orientation, culture and/or preferences. However, currently I'm focusing on working with patients that are 13 years or older due to preference.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Anyone who wishes to improve on their lives and has a desire to process any and all issues and discover their best version of themselves.

What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?

Why they are seeking treatment and what they wanted to discover on the journey of improvement and recovery.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

The option of working from home and to work at the facility of my choosing so I can meet patients face to face when the time is necessary and working with a good positive team.

What inspires you?

People pursuing ways to improve their lives despite difficult circumstances and good music and art.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

A chance to express their wants and needs and to work together to find out why they are seeking help and to begin to establish a therapeutic relationship to find the answers that they need.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

Rapport and establishing the goals and objectives that will worked upon for treatment.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I'm a musician, producer, and artist. So I spend my time working on music or gigging.

What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

I am an honest/authentic man with integrity.
