About Lauren
I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with 5 years of experience in the behavioral health field. I support clients navigating grief, anxiety, depression, addictions, life transitions, and complex trauma. My goal is to help others find peace, purpose, and connection as they heal and grow, creating a compassionate and supportive environment where they can feel seen and understood.
I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Barry University and use a client-centered, trauma-informed approach that blends mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients gain insight, build coping skills, and find inner balance. Healing, growth, and self-discovery are encouraged at each person’s pace.
I believe healing begins with the courage to be seen and the willingness to grow. As Marianne Williamson reminds us, “It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.” Together, we’ll create a space where you can embrace that light, discover your strengths, and move toward the peace and wholeness you deserve.

"My life has included walks through seasons of struggle, growth, and self-discovery. I approach therapy with deep empathy and a belief that healing begins when we feel safe enough to reclaim our voice and reconnect with who we truly are."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because therapy truly changed my life. It helped me see myself beyond the sum of my accomplishments and flaws, guiding me out of feelings of unworthiness and into a space of peace and self-acceptance. Through that experience, I realized how deeply mental health stigma impacts my community and how many people suffer in silence. I chose this path to help break that stigma and to guide others toward the same healing, clarity, and inner peace that transformed my own life.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adolescents and adults.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing, just like life, in not linear. There will be times when it feels like monumental progress is made and there will be times when it feels like nothing has changed. The power is in recognizing inner strength through the various stages of healing.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where we begin building trust and exploring what brings you to therapy. I take time to understand your story, strengths, and goals while setting a pace that feels comfortable. In the early stages, we’ll focus on creating safety, developing insight, and identifying practical tools to support emotional balance and growth. My goal is to help clients feel seen, supported, and empowered as we begin the healing journey together.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is deeply informed by my own journey of healing through therapy, which taught me the power of vulnerability, self-compassion, and authentic connection. Experiencing my own transformation instilled in me a deep respect for the courage it takes to seek help and the sacredness of being trusted with someone’s story. I value empathy, presence, and collaboration, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe to explore, grow, and rediscover their innate strength and worth
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
We are all different people and should all be seen uniquely as we enter the therapy space. There is no one size fits all in my practice. I believe every client’s story, pace, and path to healing are unique. I tailor therapy by meeting clients exactly where they are—listening deeply, honoring their lived experiences, and collaboratively identifying what approaches best support their goals. I integrate techniques from mindfulness, CBT, and trauma-informed care, adjusting my methods to fit each client’s personality, values, and stage of growth. My aim is to create a space that feels both safe and empowering, allowing clients to move toward healing in a way that feels authentic to them.
