Kesha Sterling is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with over 4 years of experience. Kesha received her Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and is pursuing her doctoral degree. She utilizes a variety of clinical approaches that are personalized for client-specific needs including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducational therapy, mindfulness-based methods, and motivational interviewing.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I want to help people be their best self, to realize that their past and their mental disorders do not define them and do not dictate their whole life. I want to help people find peace of mind and true happiness.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Adults who have a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, panic disorders, relationship issues, and addiction, as well as mood and personality disorders. My expertise is in working with the addiction population, women, and couples.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I like working with individuals with mood disorders and a traumatic past.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
It's okay to not be okay, you are normal, and a disorder doesn't make you less human.

I have a very calm, down-to-earth personality. I am very easy to talk to, and there are no judgments.

I spend time with my hubby, I write books, and I read them too.
