I love that they found a provider that is comfortable with Buddhism when I asked. I really thought it was a long shot. She's been great. Allow partial payments online.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I have always sought meaningful work and having the opportunity to help others heal and realize their potential always called to me.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I feel I do my best work with clients who are motivated for change, ready to reflect on their story, examine their strengths and limitations, and open to challenging themselves in order to heal and grow.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I appreciate that Triveworks provides accessible care across a wide spectrum of professionals, trying to meet the needs of each community they practice within.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the resilience, kindness and wisdom we are all capable of when we honor our best nature.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
That sometimes taking the first step, trying to find help is the hardest part.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
The first few sessions are when I can really start to get to know you, your history and what brought you to therapy, as well as answer any questions you may have. Here, you can discuss what your goals, strengths and areas of difficulty are and I will start to formulate a plan for moving forward in order to help you reach your goals.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I like to explore your expectations for treatment and start to put together the theoretical frameset that you can work from which will best suit your needs and comfort levels.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
That while I rely on my skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundation for treatment, I may also use modalities such as psychoanalytic, narrative, systems theory, neurobiology and positive psychology in building a plan of care to best meet their needs.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I have a lot of creative hobbies, such as painting, writing, and knitting. I also enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading and cooking.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
That exercising my creativity each day is an important part of my own self-care.
