Ms. Gadishaw has helped me grow tremendously as a person. She has helped me learn skills to control my anxiety and depression. Even on days where I would normally hide away in bed, I have gained techniques and tools to keep me functional and going. I am much happier after meeting her. I am forever grateful.

Get to know Dianne
Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I worked as a nurse for 20 years and enjoyed nursing, but I always wanted to do counseling.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Life is about transitions, we start out as infants and we spend our whole lives transitioning from one stage to the next. The people who are most successful and happy are the ones who are willing to accept these changes in life.
What inspires you?
Seeing people overcome difficulties and watching them grow and become empowered.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
I will ask questions about your presenting concerns, as well as your history and background. I will then ask you to talk about your current symptoms or struggles, as well saying a bit about your relationships, your interests, your strengths, and your goals.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to get an idea of what the client's presenting concerns, as well as their history and background.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
That I want to meet the client where they are and I will support them in whatever issues they may have.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love to travel and seeing new places. I've been to more than 44 countries and I look forward to each new adventure.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I am an optimist. I believe you should decide to find your joy in each day. Joy can be found in the most mundane things, you just need to be looking.
