About Celia

I am a registered clinical social worker intern (RCSWI) with 3 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s most challenging moments. I specialize in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, grief support, anxiety, depression, and helping clients strengthen communication and relationships. My work centers on creating meaningful, sustainable personal growth through practical, evidence-based strategies.

I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Central Florida. My approach blends trauma-informed care with cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to meet you where you are. I create a supportive, collaborative space where you can explore challenges and build the skills needed for lasting change.

Starting therapy is a courageous choice, and you deserve a space that feels safe, warm, and validating. Together, we will build the tools you need to manage emotions, strengthen relationships, and move toward the life you want. My goal is to help you feel empowered, supported, and confident as you navigate healing and growth.

Get to know Celia

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a counselor because I care deeply about helping people find strength and healing during life’s hardest moments. I’ve seen how the right support and practical tools can ease grief, improve relationships, and bring relief from anxiety or depression. My passion is walking alongside clients as they grow, heal, and discover new ways to thrive.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients ages 11 and up, across all genders and cultures. Many come to me seeking support with grief, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, or the challenges of acute mental illness. Others are looking for tools to strengthen communication and build healthier relationships. No matter your background, my focus is on creating a safe, supportive space where you can grow, heal, and feel empowered to move forward.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is not about being “fixed” — it’s about growth. Therapy is a process of learning new skills, gaining insight, and building resilience, and progress often comes in small but powerful steps. It’s normal to face challenges along the way, but each step forward reflects your strength and commitment to yourself. With compassion, cultural sensitivity, and practical tools, therapy can help you create lasting change and a more fulfilling life.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming space where we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. Early sessions focus on building trust, exploring your goals, and starting to learn practical tools to manage emotions, improve communication, and strengthen relationships. My goal is for you to feel supported and encouraged to obtain notable growth.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is shaped by both my multiracial identity and my deep belief in the resilience of people. Growing up with diverse cultural perspectives taught me the value of empathy, understanding, and honoring each person’s unique story. These values guide me to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to grow and heal.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor therapy by listening closely to each client’s story and honoring their unique background, culture, and goals. Using trauma‑informed, evidence‑based approaches, I adapt tools and strategies to fit where they are in their journey. This means every session is personalized — helping clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful progress in ways that matter most to them.
