Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a counselor because I want to be able to provide hope, to let clients know that there are people out there that want to listen to them and not be judged but rather feel accepted and part of a larger community.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work best with clients who are open and willing to make changes in their lives. Asking for help can be extremely difficult, making that first step is crucial and I am here to support you and learn more about how I can help.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Indvidual's and couples who are eager to learn more about themselves and willing to take on the challenge of bettering their lives.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

One thing that I wish all clients knew is that they do possess a range of coping skills and tools developed throughout their lives, often valuable resources that might not have been utilized at the best time.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

Thriveworks offers the clients and the therapist flexibility to receive treatment online, in person or in the comfort of their own home. Wanting to better your life should not be impacted by scheduling issues.

What inspires you?

What inspires me is being part of my client’s journey as they courageously embrace being vulnerable and open with someone new. I am constantly humbled and deeply grateful for their choice of putting themselves first and seeking out the support that they deserve.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

A welcoming, non-judgmental space where they can freely express their goals for therapy. Time and space to build a therapeutic alliance.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

What I would like to accomplish in the first session is to gain historical background regarding the reason why the individual/couple is seeking out help. To build rapport, complete a few essential assessments and start developing therapeutic goals.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?

I am here to support you wherever you may be on your journey.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

Enjoying the outdoors through hiking or running, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.

What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

I am grounded by family and nature.
