Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a therapist after experiencing challenges in life that resulted in learning how important mental health awareness is. I feel empowered and fortunate to work in a field where I am able to alleviate and support others who know how painful moments in life can be.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with adult client's who are motivated to engage in therapy, even if they are unsure about what their goals are or what therapy is like. I work well with client's who have a degree of flexility in trying new behaviors, skills, or ways of interpreting life.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited work with client's who identify with the queer community. As a queer person myself, I am motivated to have the opportunity to represent my community on the field and help other feel comfortable seeking treatment. I also enjoy working with individuals who are male/ masculine presenting and the challenges that can be present around this gender expression.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all client's knew that the future is not determine by their past. We are more capable to make a life that we have a right due despite what we have experienced leading to the now.

What inspires you?
I am inspired by fulfillment and happiness. See others in life and myself feel accomplished and content is something that drives me to help others achieve this and motivates me to experience this myself.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In the first session I like to understand any signs and symptoms of mental health challenges the client may be experiencing. I want to have an understanding of what in the past or present influences these concerns as well as what the client is hope therapy can do to support them.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session I let to develop treatment goals, as well as an image of what life could look like more specifically if these goals are met. In the first session I like to help the client understand the therapeutic process so they have knowledge of what treatment is like and what to expect.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I like to integrate humor and irreverence into my sessions, when appropriate. I am someone who balances validation and motivation to work toward change in the therapy style.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
In my free time, I am either reading horror or fantasy, watching a movie, or baking.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
