Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I believe in every person’s capacity to heal. Standing with you as pain turns to power is the most urgent, dignified work I can imagine. I offer a compassionate, collaborative space where you can explore, gain clarity, and move forward with resilience and confidence
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults and seniors who are seeking guidance to navigate challenges, build insight, and develop practical strategies for growth and well-being. I also work effectively with clients navigating cultural, social, or identity-related stressors, providing a collaborative and safe space where they feel understood and supported.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Even small steps matter. Simply showing up—tired, messy, or unsure—is already the bravest part of healing. From there, we walk together, helping you regain a sense of balance and well-being.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we slow the pace and focus on what feels safe to share. I’ll ask thoughtful, grounding questions about your hopes, history, and what feels most pressing, while we begin mapping one or two areas you’d like relief in. The early stage of therapy is about building trust, creating a predictable and judgment-free environment, and allowing your nervous system to settle as we learn the language of your inner world together—without any pressure to perform or tell your whole story at once
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I know the courage it takes to move from silence to voice, so I offer a calm, collaborative space where every emotion is welcomed, every story is respected, and together we move only at the speed of trust while your own resilience steers insight and growth.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by taking time to understand each client’s unique history, strengths, and goals, and by adapting my approach to fit their needs, and readiness for change. I draw from evidence-based modalities while remaining flexible, collaborative, and attuned to what resonates most for the client. Whether someone needs practical coping skills, space for emotional processing, or support navigating complex life experiences, I adjust the pace, techniques, and interventions to meet them where they are and help them move toward meaningful growth.
