About Elizabeth
Elizabeth Jucevics is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut (CT 008741) and a previous MSW student member of the NASW-CT Board of Directors. Ms. Jucevics obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in 1992 with a major in Psychology and minors in both Sociology and Anthropology. She returned to the University of Connecticut to earn her Master’s in Social Work in 2011 – with an additional focused area of study in Social Work Practice with Older Adults. Elizabeth also completed an independent research project involving substance abuse treatment for older adults. Elizabeth has also been a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Golden Key National Honor Society. Elizabeth has vast experience working with adult and older adults in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and community-based settings. Ms. Jucevics is passionate about human dignity and served as a Human Rights Officer for individuals diagnosed with severe psychiatric illness. Elizabeth has experience working with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, medical co-morbidities as well as family and relationship issues. Ms. Jucevics is dedicated to person-centered care and she is also guided by the values and principles of the NASW Code of Ethics. Through her experience, Elizabeth has become mindful of vicarious trauma and she is committed to the practice of self-care.
