Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to pursue a career in counseling because of the profound impact my own experiences with domestic violence and addiction had on shaping my understanding of human resilience and the complexities of healing. My Christian faith provides a strong foundation of compassion, service, and integrity, guiding my commitment to supporting others in their journeys. I am deeply motivated by the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships that empower individuals to grow, strengthen, and reclaim hope. With a Licensed Clinical Social Worker credential and extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, I bring a combination of personal insight, professional training, and faith-driven values to my practice, dedicated to fostering recovery and renewal.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are motivated and ready to make meaningful changes in their lives. I find it especially rewarding to partner with individuals who are committed to growth and open to exploring new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. My approach is designed to foster empowerment and resilience, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can take active steps toward healing and transformation. Whether navigating trauma, addiction, or relational challenges, I value working alongside those who bring determination and a willingness to engage fully in the counseling process.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with children, youth, and families, as I find great meaning in supporting individuals at pivotal stages of growth and development. I also value working with clients who share an appreciation for faith, particularly those who draw strength from Christianity, as it can be a powerful source of resilience and hope. At the same time, I remain open to working with people from all backgrounds and beliefs, committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for anyone seeking change. My passion lies in walking alongside clients as they embrace transformation, strengthen relationships, and move toward a more fulfilling future.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that they already hold the power within themselves to make lasting change. While counseling provides guidance, tools, and support, true transformation begins when individuals recognize their own strength and capacity for growth. I believe every client has the ability to reclaim resilience, build healthier relationships, and move toward a more fulfilling life. My role is to walk alongside them, offering professional expertise and faith-driven encouragement, while empowering them to unlock the potential that has always been within.

What inspires you?
I am inspired by the courage clients show when they choose to confront challenges and pursue growth. My own experiences with domestic violence and addiction, along with the strength I draw from my Christian faith, have taught me that lasting change is possible when individuals recognize the resilience within themselves. I find deep motivation in guiding children, youth, families, and people of faith as they uncover their strengths, break harmful cycles, and embrace transformation. What inspires me most is witnessing clients reclaim hope, build healthier relationships, and move forward with confidence—reminders that every person has the power to create a better future.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In their first session with me, clients can expect a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where they feel genuinely heard and supported. I take time to listen carefully to each person’s unique experiences and concerns, creating space for them to explore both challenges and strengths at their own pace. Guided by my Christian values of compassion and service, I strive to foster a safe and collaborative atmosphere where trust can begin to form and healing can take root. My goal is to empower clients from the very beginning, helping them recognize the resilience within themselves and laying the foundation for meaningful growth and lasting change.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, my priority is to establish a safe and supportive environment where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. I provide validation and empathy while encouraging individuals to share their experiences at a pace that feels comfortable. Guided by my Christian values of compassion and service, I aim to help clients begin recognizing the strength they already hold within themselves. Together, we identify their immediate needs and set meaningful, achievable goals, laying the foundation for healing, resilience, and lasting change.

I am a dedicated and compassionate therapist who brings determination and hard work to every session. I create a warm, welcoming space where clients feel comfortable opening up, knowing they’ll be met with empathy and support. With a person-centered approach, I listen without judgment, helping individuals find strength, resilience, and meaningful growth on their journey.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
In my free time, I enjoy a balance of adventure and relaxation. I find peace and renewal in hiking and spending time outdoors, and I love the joy and energy my dog brings to everyday life. I also appreciate quieter moments, whether working on puzzles with my husband, exploring creativity through crocheting, or getting lost in a good book. Most importantly, I cherish time with my growing family. As a new mother to a 4‑month‑old baby, I treasure the moments of bonding and the joy of creating meaningful memories together. My faith reminds me to value both rest and relationships, making family time an essential and fulfilling part of my life.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
One thing that defines me outside of my professional role is my deep curiosity and love of learning. I am always seeking to understand the world in new ways—whether through exploring philosophical ideas, diving into a good book, or solving puzzles with loved ones. I thrive on discovery and connection, finding joy in experiences that expand my perspective and strengthen my relationships. My Christian faith also shapes this curiosity, reminding me that growth and understanding are lifelong journeys. This passion for learning and connection influences how I move through life, making every moment an opportunity to deepen both wisdom and relationships.
