About Nathan
I am a licensed psychologist (Ph.D.) with 9 years of experience providing therapy to adults and couples. I specialize in treating mood and anxiety disorders, including depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, and stress. Many of the clients I work with are seeking a deeper understanding of their thoughts and behavior patterns so they can create meaningful, lasting change. I help them clarify their values and take practical, actionable steps toward becoming who they want to be.
I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and have specialized experience in adult individual and couples therapy. I primarily utilize acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, while integrating humanistic, values-based approaches.
You deserve a fulfilling life, and I am here to help you move toward it. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or held back by self-doubt, we can work together to build insight, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and create forward momentum. When you are ready, I invite you to schedule a session and begin the process of meaningful change.

"I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where you feel understood and supported, and where we can work together to turn insight into practical, meaningful change in your daily life."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
It has always been a core value of mine to live a life of service. I also believe that people can get stuck by unhealthy thought processes that can drastically inhibit their ability to live a full and fulfilling life. Having a good therapist can make an incredible difference in the trajectory of a person's life.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are invested in their own growth.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that therapy is made up of a thousand small steps. Even by calling to set up an intake appointment, they have already taken a step towards becoming who they want to be.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
My clients can expect to hear a lot of questions. First in the intake process to understand the context leading to therapy. Then to learn their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Authenticity and agency are the two most important values to me as a clinician. I believe we, as a people, have the ability to choose how we want to show up in the world. The foundation for everything I do first begins with helping clients recognize their own agency in the therapeutic process (and in their life).
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I approach each case with curiosity and treat each client as part of a partnership. I bring the expertise in the field of psychology, but my clients have an expertise in what matters to them. So for me, each case is tailored not just to symptoms, but also to my client's values, their beliefs, their experiences, their backgrounds, and their hopes and dreams.
