About Lisa
Lisa Ferrante is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of experience and a background in crisis intervention, solution-focused counseling, and marriage and family counseling. She specializes in concerns that can arise from troubled relationships, including depression, anxiety, infidelity, divorce, abuse, and family conflict. Lisa’s own life experiences created the foundation for her desire to become a counselor and help others engage in healthy relationships. By learning new skills, she believes everyone can alleviate resentment and remain secure when dealing with conflict with family, friends, or partners.
Lisa received her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University. She uses an emotionally focused approach to couples and family counseling, pulling from cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment-based therapy, and psychoanalytic therapy, among other methods.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Mental Health and Wellness is so important to live happily and successfully. I learned this very early on and J want to help others find this for themselves.

Mental health and wellness inspire me. Healthy relationships inspire me.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
We will learn how to identify the problem areas in your life. whether it be in your family, relationship or even in your personal life . We will start to understand what is missing and what needs to be done.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, I would like for us to discuss the problem area so we will know how to proceed. If you are coming to me for relationship counseling, we will discuss your attachment style which will help us understand how to move forward.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I am here for you. Whatever your struggles are we can handle it together.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love to walk my Siberian Husky, spend time with my 2-year-old daughter and husband. I love to stay active with hiking, biking and walking and enjoying whatever nature has to offer. I love to travel, listen to music, and have dabbled in landscape photography in the past. I am also a Christian believer and love spending time with the Lord through the church on my days off.
