I am a licensed clinical social worker with over five years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals. Prior to that I worked as a generalist social worker and case manager. I have experience treating a range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, and stress management.

My clinical approach is relational, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I believe every client is their own expert and use evidence-based interventions like MBCT, EFT, DBT, and IFS, tailored to your needs and goals. I check in periodically to see how therapy is working and make changes as desired.

The decision to start therapy isn't always an easy one. I offer a welcoming space for you to express your concerns, explore your thoughts and feelings, and uncover your inner strengths and resources. I am down-to-earth, compassionate, and often use humor (when appropriate) in our work.

"As a social worker who has worked in both clinical and non-clinical settings, I recognize the uniqueness of each client's experience and the importance of feeling truly listened to and understood. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I enjoy engaging clients in their exploration of what is meaningful to them, supporting them with connecting and reconnecting to their authentic selves, and identifying strengths and supports to help them along the way.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Individuals who are curious and motivated in the therapy process.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

That it's not it's not always easy or linear but it's worth it.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our first meeting we will have the opportunity to talk about the big picture of what is going in your life right now, your personal history, and specific goals for therapy. In the early stages of therapy, we will collaborate to create a plan that addresses your specific concerns and needs.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

Compassion, dignity, and selfdetermination.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I provide education about/explore various modalities with clients to discover what resonates with them.
