About Jessie

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 11 years of experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, family dysfunction, and life stressors. My approach is strength-based, holistic, and trauma-informed, with a focus on helping clients build resilience and move toward meaningful change.

I earned my master's degree in social work from Columbia University. I have advanced training in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and child-parent psychotherapy, and I have extensive experience supporting individuals and families navigating complex challenges.

I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable exploring your experiences at your own pace. Together, we will honor where you are in your journey and work toward goals that feel meaningful and achievable for you.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

After going through the therapeutic process myself, I realized how important it is for everyone to have a safe space to process their experiences and lear tools for managing symptoms.

Children, youth, teens, and young adults

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Therapy is client led, and patient centered. We start with what you are comfortable with and as we progress in treatment we will review what is going well, and what topics still need to be addressed.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In the first session we will complete an intake assessment. This assessment is used to learn about you and what is bringing you into therapy. We will discuss diagnosis and treatment goals as well as therapeutic modalities that can be utilized in the therapeutic process.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

Therapy is a collaborative process and we go at your pace. In the first few sessions we will learn more about each other and determine what therapeutic approaches will be most comfortable and beneficial to the healing process.
