I am Dr. Jim Fox, and I have over 30 years of counseling experience. I am a former pastor and a graduate of Denver Seminary, and I recently finished a second doctorate in Christ-centered counseling at Trinity Theological Seminary. I work primarily from a Christian worldview, although I respect non-Christians. I am a practitioner of Solution-Focused Psychology, a Master Addiction Counselor, and have experience with most problems, including couples problems, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, ADHD, and PTSD. I am an EMDR practitioner and am versed in helping those with adultery and porn addiction problems.
My approach is to work toward a better tomorrow, solve problems, and leave the past behind as quickly as possible. I am an ardent user of Positive Psychology and Summa Bonum Psychology. This type of treatment includes ways to make your life happier and help you (and your significant other, for couples) flourish by improving character strengths and values.
I work with both individuals and couples, Christian or non-Christian. You will find that I will push to make your life better. I love to listen, but I believe action helps a person grow in a positive way.

"I find myself naturally working with my counselees to help them live more virtuous and flourishing lives. This can be done by resolving current and past issues and, most importantly, by improving the future."
What types of clients do you work best with?
Couples, families, and individuals. I also have extensive experience with teenagers, and I once served as a lead therapist at a juvenile jail.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Sometimes the past is important, but more often, improving our futures is the real goal. Fix the problem and live a better life with values and goals that satisfy you in both the short and long term. Living life as a victim is not a satisfactory way of life.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
I want to hear your story. But I also want the first session to be a step towards making your life better.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I have over 30 years of experience in therapy. I love helping people and will do my best to find a therapeutic approach and environment that meet your needs.
