About Jaelyn
Jaelyn Aragon is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who specializes in working with children, teens, and adults who are struggling to cope with issues related to addiction, depression, anxiety, undeveloped coping skills, chronic illness, family conflict, trauma, PTSD, sexual or physical abuse, parenting difficulties, and much more.
Jaelyn works from a person-centered approach that borrows strategies from narrative therapy and insights from an existential lens. She knows that the client is an expert on themselves, but may need guidance from a counselor to help navigate the trials and tribulations of life. Jaelyn’s journey into counseling began with her work at Safe Passage Children’s Advocacy Center, where she volunteered for over two years. The experience taught her the value of meeting a client at whatever place or mindset they are in, and she learned how to respond to a range of emotional situations while being an advocate for the client’s best interest.
Jaelyn knows that everyone carries experiences that help to shape who they are. She is devoted to helping people process those experiences. Reach out to schedule a session with her, where you'll work together as a team to start achieving your personal goals.

"Life is a multidimensional experience and I am committed to helping people process those experiences."

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I work with a wide demographic of clients but I am most excited to work with adults and young adults (15+) who are seeking counseling for depression, anxiety, substance use concerns, PTSD, grief and life adjustments. I also enjoy working with clients who are part of the LGBTQ+ population.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
You are the best thing that has ever happened to you.
What inspires you?
The bravery I see in each one of my clients who has the courage to step into the therapy room.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Establishing rapport from the very beginning is integral to the therapeutic relationships I have with my clients. I like to set the foundation for honesty, transparency, and communication between the two of us. This is accomplished by really sitting in the moment with a client as they recount their reasons and hopes for coming to therapy.
