Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I didn't choose this path lightly. I chose it because I know what it's like to hurt. I grew up in chaos - abuse, addiction, pain. I became a counselor because I hate seeing people suffer. After 40 years in this work, I'm still here - to help people heal and live with honesty and strength.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I connect best with individuals who are willing to be real and honest - with themselves and with me. When the mask comes off, is where the healing begins
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I'm most energized by clients who are ready to be open, dig deep and commit to the work of growth and healing - no matter how messy it might get.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Therapy is no picnic. It's hard, raw and real - but it's worth it. And you don't have to do it alone - I will meet you there.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I had heard Thriveworks was a wonderful platform for increasing my client base.
What inspires you?
What inspires me? Life itself - Waking up breathing, helping, being present. the fact that healing is possible and I am blessed to witness it every day.

*Then we will begin the session with the presenting difficulty
*We will discuss the clients presenting difficulty until the time is over/up (55 minutes)
*reappoint with client
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
*Knowledge of Presenting Difficulty
*Alternative Actions/Possibilities
*Possible Homework for client
*Reappoint
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I am solution focused - I like to alleviate pain for my clients
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I garden, golf (When course is open), clean house (I find cleaning relaxing), lunch with friends
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I love to laugh and have a dry sense of humor.
