About Chad
My name is Chad. I began my journey in mental health treatment in 2009 after leaving seven years of service in the United States Air Force. I earned a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2012 and achieved licensure in 2014.I was certified in EMDR in 2011 and have been actively treating trauma symptoms for over 15 years. I've learned to integrate CBT and Narrative therapy into my practice for a more complete approach to recovery. I also help clients build boundaries, improve coping skills, develop better communication methods, resolve conflict more effectively, and pursue their life goals.
Life experiences shape how we see and respond to the world. Some lead to growth and strength. Others—toxic people, traumatic events, undeserved hardship—limit our sense of identity and control. Improved boundaries and communication help clients build healthier support. Trauma therapies help heal from past wounds and live more fully in the present.
Everybody has their own story. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and helping you write the next chapters in your life. Nothing is certain, but I will offer you the best guidance and insight I can provide and help you take your next steps forward. I look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey together.

"A therapist dedicated to helping people find their sense of purpose and identity and helping people heal from experiences that may be preventing growth and contentment in life."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
The first thing that attracted me to psychology was my own personal struggles with relationships, communication, and finding purpose in my life. These things did not come easily and required a lot of investment to be able to connect with the world and live a productive life. I later discovered a lot of success and fulfillment when helping others with their own struggles. Helping free people and reach towards their potential is a life calling.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with people who are willing and able to take a deep, honest look at themselves and their lives. Growth begins with acceptance and awareness. We will work to make things better from there.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Everyone needs some help and support in their lives. I can remember the times when the encouragement and insight of others have helped a lot in my life. I want to help provide this to everyone I am able to. If you are unhappy with your life, let me or someone like me walk with you and help you with the tools and knowledge to make things better.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
We will start with an assessment of your needs, then we will build a plan to address them. Trust and understanding are vital to successful therapy. No plan works without a realistic starting point. We will then work to identify where you want to improve and address the barriers to making this happen.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Over my lifetime I have experienced my share of failure and success. I know what it is like to be left out, bullied, misunderstood and abandoned. Other times I have found support, appreciation, and fulfillment, but it has rarely come easily. We all have our unique challenges, opportunities, and experiences. I am confident, however, that there is a way to make small improvements and achieve small victories if we are willing to challenge ourselves and try new things. I have needed help from others to do this in the past and am here to help you in the present to do the same.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor my therapy to meet my client's needs by listening, observing, and encouraging my clients to give honest feedback on what is working and what is not. Recovery is a team effort. We will explore all the tools I can offer to find a good fit.
