About Brittany

Hi, I'm Brittany, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and national certified counselor (NCC). I work with teens and adults navigating life transitions, stress, trauma, loss, relationship challenges, and experiences that leave them feeling stuck. My approach is supportive, straightforward, and down-to-earth. Therapy should be a space where you can be yourself while growing. I work collaboratively with my clients to understand their experiences, develop practical coping skills, and make meaningful changes. My goal is to help you leave therapy with tools and insights that extend beyond our sessions.

My approach is straightforward, supportive, and collaborative. I create a space where you can be yourself and grow. I believe laughter matters in therapy. I use CBT, DBT, solution-focused techniques, and trauma-informed care to help develop coping skills and confidence. My goal is tackling difficult things with humor and connection.

Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable when you're used to handling things alone. You don't need everything figured out before walking through the door. We'll start where you are and build from there. If you're ready for a space where you can be yourself, feel supported, laugh, and grow, I invite you to schedule an appointment and see if we're a good fit.

"As a Hispanic counselor, I bring both professional experience and personal understanding of how culture, loss, and trauma can shape our lives. My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and person-centered, creating a supportive space where clients can process difficult experiences, build practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful change at their own pace."

Get to know Brittany

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor because I grew up in a low-income community where access to mental health support was limited, and within my Hispanic culture, therapy wasn’t always understood or accepted. Those experiences helped me recognize how important it is to have someone you can relate to and feel comfortable talking with. I wanted to help make therapy feel more approachable, genuine, and accessible, especially for people who may not have grown up believing therapy was for them.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Teens and young adults.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

There is no handbook for life, and none of us are expected to have everything figured out. Everyone needs support at some point, but not everyone has the courage to ask for help. Seeking therapy is an opportunity to better understand yourself, work through the hard things, and learn tools that can help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and seeing if therapy feels like the right fit for you. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, so I’ll make sure the conversation feels natural rather than like you’re having questions thrown at you. I love pop culture and music and enjoy bringing those interests into the conversation when it helps us connect and makes therapy feel more relatable. You shouldn’t expect me to simply give you all the answers. Instead, we’ll work alongside each other to explore new perspectives, build practical tools, and help you grow in a way that feels meaningful to you.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is shaped by both my professional experience and my own life experiences. I have experienced loss and trauma, and I come from a background where the path to success wasn’t always clearly laid out for me. These experiences have taught me the importance of resilience, empathy, and having the right support along the way. I understand that life can be messy and that growth isn’t always a straight line, which is why I strive to meet clients where they are while helping them recognize their strengths and challenge themselves to grow.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I understand that choosing therapy isn’t always easy, and there is no single approach that works for everyone. I take the time to understand each client’s personality, experiences, goals, and comfort level so we can shape therapy around what works best for them. I want therapy to feel collaborative, and I’ll regularly check in to make sure we’re meeting your needs in a way that feels comfortable and helpful. And if I’m not the right fit for you, no problem. We’ll work toward finding a resource or provider that better meets your needs, because ultimately, getting the right support is what matters most.
