About Samantha
I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker with 5 years of experience dedicated to helping individuals heal, grow, and create lasting change. I work with adults and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and major life transitions. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we uncover strengths, build resilience, and foster self-compassion. My trauma-informed approach creates a safe, nonjudgmental space for healing and discovery at your own pace.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Massachusetts Global. My practice integrates person-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based approaches. I support clients in rebuilding confidence, developing coping skills, and finding meaning through authenticity, trust, and shared understanding.
Reaching out for help takes courage, and you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Together, we can work toward stability, healing, and positive change. I’m honored to walk beside you on your journey toward a more balanced, empowered, and fulfilling life.

"Having personally known the impact of hardship and poverty, I bring a deeply empathetic, trauma-informed approach to walking alongside others as they heal, grow, and rebuild their lives."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a provider because I know firsthand what it’s like to feel lost, broken, and unsure if life can ever get better. After years of struggling with substance use, homelessness, and unhealthy relationships that nearly took my life, I was met with compassion and support from social workers who saw me as a person — not a problem. They walked beside me, offering resources, encouragement, and genuine care when I needed it most. Their belief in me helped me begin to heal and rebuild, piece by piece.
That experience changed everything. I wanted to give back what was given to me — hope, understanding, and the chance to be seen as worthy of healing. Becoming a social worker has been my way of honoring that journey and paying forward the kindness and guidance that helped me find my footing. Today, I strive to meet my clients with that same compassion, respect, and belief in their ability to grow. My work is deeply personal because I’ve been on the other side, and I know how powerful it can be when someone truly listens and stands beside you through the process of rebuilding your life.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Adults ages 19-80.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing takes time. Therapy isn’t a quick fix — it’s a process of growth, much like tending to a garden. Seeds don’t bloom overnight, and neither do we. With patience, consistency, and care, small steps begin to take root and meaningful change unfolds. Just like plants need sunlight, water, and nurturing to thrive, we all need support, compassion, and time to grow into the healthiest versions of ourselves. Healing is not about perfection — it’s about progress, resilience, and allowing yourself the grace to grow at your own pace.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming space where we take time to get to know each other and begin building trust. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, current concerns, and what’s bringing you to therapy. Together, we’ll identify your goals and what you hope to achieve through our work. My approach is collaborative and solution-focused — I believe in meeting you where you are and moving at a pace that feels right for you. In the early stages of therapy, we’ll work together to create a plan that fits your needs, focusing on practical steps toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My work is guided by my own journey of healing from substance use, homelessness, and trauma, experiences that taught me the power of compassion, connection, and resilience. The care I received from social workers who believed in me inspired my commitment to give back in the same way. I value authenticity, empathy, and respect, and I strive to create a space where clients feel truly seen and supported. I believe that with understanding and consistent care, everyone has the capacity to heal, grow, and build a life rooted in strength and purpose.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each client by first taking the time to understand their individual story, goals, and strengths. No two people are the same, so I adapt my approach based on what feels most supportive and effective for them. I listen closely to what’s important to each client and work collaboratively to set goals that reflect their values and priorities. Throughout the process, I remain flexible — adjusting our pace, focus, and methods as their needs evolve. My goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to take an active role in their own healing and growth.
