About LaCresha
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with 7 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I specialize in helping clients identify patterns, strengthen communication, and build healthier connections. I bring a warm, grounded presence to therapy and use a collaborative, culturally responsive approach to meet you where you are.
I earned my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Pacific Oaks College. My work draws from trauma-informed, strength-based, and mindfulness-based practices to help clients explore emotional patterns, understand relational dynamics, and move toward lasting change.
My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, deepen self-awareness, and rewrite patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we’ll create space for healing, clarity, and meaningful growth. You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Let's begin your path toward healthier relationships and a more grounded sense of self.

"I became a therapist after witnessing how trauma impacts families and realizing that healing one person can transform generations."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose this path, because I wanted to turn pain into purpose.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are ready to look inward, people who are tired of surviving and truly want to heal.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Real healing takes courage, it's not about perfection.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a warm and welcoming space to share their story.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My values as a therapist come from lived experience, seeing firsthand how trauma, stigma and silence can shape generations.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each client by meeting them exactly where they are.
