About Kathryn

I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker with 6 years of experience in the behavioral health field. I specialize in helping individuals manage challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship concerns while fostering resilience and self-discovery. I provide a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their strengths and overcome barriers. My passion is guiding people through their unique journeys toward growth, healing, and improved well-being.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University of San Bernardino. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness strategies. I tailor treatment to meet each client’s individual needs and goals.

I believe in creating a collaborative space where clients feel heard, validated, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and develop tools that promote lasting positive change. Together, we will work toward enhancing your resilience and creating meaningful progress.

Get to know Kathryn

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I am fascinated of human nature regarding the individual itself and external relationship dynamics. People are complex and have the potential to improve and use past mistakes to thrive. Professionals and clients are all people. I am a firm believer that all clients have the humane magic to thrive and bring gifts of transformation to their lives.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Never underestimate your value, self-worth, resilience, and to conquer any life challenges. The healing solution is a promise that does not come from anyone but yourself.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

The intake session is important to gather all information needed for presenting problems and for me to screen, assess, evaluate, and create a treatment plan. Safety plans for emergency crises will be addressed and a therapy client guide for regulations, expectations, professional boundaries, and codes of ethical conduct will also be explained.

The early stages of therapy will consist of trust building, comfortable adaptations, and honest collaborations to establish the therapeutic relationships.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

All direct engagement within my practice focuses solely on the client. I keep a diverse viewpoint and integrate a wide span of intervention models depending on the client's needs.
